I have always loved basketball since I was little, I started playing in 2nd grade at Valley Elementary.  My family is really big into sports and my dad loves basketball. My dad was my coach all through Elementary and Middle School, he taught me about everything I know about sports.  In 6th grade I started my first year at Minford, Valley was not as athletic in sports so that is why I moved. Over the summer before I moved I played summer ball with all the girls from my new school. Basketball is how I found all my best friends and found a love for sports. I am currently a junior in high school and have played all three years and have had a very successful team.

I started playing volleyball when I was in 5th and 6th grade. I was in a volleyball league and just started learning basic skills. Once I got in junior high is when I actually played on a volleyball team at my school. Unlike basketball, volleyball starts at a later age so I really had to work hard to become a good player. I found a love for volleyball, a lot of my good friends that I had made from basketball were also playing volleyball which made me really want to try the sport. I am taller than a lot of girls and that is a part of me that drew me to sports, it was something I could be good at. I am now a junior in high school and have played varsity all 3 years as middle hitter. Volleyball has helped me be a leader and cherish my team and team work. I am working towards hopefully getting 1,000 kills by I graduate and being the record high for kills at my school. I am also looking into playing volleyball in college and continuing my love for the game.

Southern Ohio Volleyball Club (SOVC) is the travel volleyball team I play for out of Chillicothe. I have club for 4 years now. I started playing in eighth grade. Club volleyball has helped me in volleyball and as a person. Club made me get out of my comfort zone and starting out I had to play with girls I didn't know as well as having a more advanced game and different coaching style from different coaches. During my sophomore year club season with SOVC we went undefeated and won regional finals in gold. I have improved in my volleyball skills and gains many life skills as well though playing club volleyball.

I started playing AAU basketball in 4th grade and played for 3 years with the Southern Ohio Magic. Playing on this team and finding my two best friends is what made me move schools to Minford. After playing 3 years with the Southern Ohio Magic I took a year off. While I had my year off I went to personal workouts for basketball and my workout coach then invited me to join his travel team the Swish. I met a lot of new girls who were really good athletes from Kentucky. I still play for the Swish and love my team mates and my coach, we are a really competitive team and get to attend many tough tournaments.
